James Henry Crossland Oil on Canvas
James Henry Crossland (British, 1852-1904).

Oil on canvas, sheep grazing in an autumn woodland dell.

In very good condition. No repairs to the canvas.

Signed to the back of the canvas in ink, Crossland.
Plus the title of the painting and signature in ink on the wooden stretcher frame. This is difficult to make out though and all I can read is *****ey Grove at Bristol Crossland.

Framed behind glass in a gilt frame, this has a few cracks to the front and the back needs a new cover paper. Certainly worth restoring though.

Measures approx:

Painting only: 17 1/2" x 11 1/2".

Frame: 26" x 20".

A good quality work by a listed artist.
